Welcome to the 2025 Manitoba Indigenous Summer Games – South, hosted by the Sagkeeng First Nation, an Ojibwe community located at the mouth of Lake Winnipeg, and a consortium of picturesque communities:

Sagkeeng Anicinabe Nation is comprised of Anicinabe people who have resided at or near the Fort Alexander Indian Reserve #3 located along the Winnipeg River and Traverse Bay, since time immemorial.

Experience the precision and focus of 3D Archery, where athletes compete in an exciting outdoor challenge. Participants will test their skills across 20 targets from unmarked distances, drawing on traditional Indigenous hunting prowess while using modern compound and barebow equipment.
Join us as youth showcase their steady hands and keen eyes in this test of concentration and skill!
Enjoy the serene challenge of golf as young athletes navigate the course with focus and precision. Players demonstrate mental fortitude and technical skill across 54 holes of competition, carefully calculating each shot in this ultimate test of patience, power, and accuracy.



Witness the excitement of basketball as teams display speed, skill, and strategy in this dynamic game. Fast transitions, precision shooting, and stellar teamwork take center stage while young athletes embody the spirit of fair play and showcase their dribbling, passing, and shooting abilities.

Young athletes from Indigenous communities across Manitoba will showcase their diverse talents in Athletics at the 2025 MISG. Events include sprints, middle-distance runs, jumps, and throwing competitions like shot put, discus, and javelin. Both individual competitors and relay teams will represent their communities in this foundational Olympic sport that celebrates speed, strength, endurance, and determination.
